well, as long as they just take over the couch.. ;) I once read about this guy with a pet croc, same problem, just that it was the whole living room D:

This comic is sort of inspired by a friend's mom who had a Newfoundland dog who would take up the entire couch by himself. But he was a sweetheart, he didn't growl or anything when you moved him, he just gave Emmy-worthy performances of sighing and heaving himself off the sofa.
